Shipping Insurance – Terms & Conditions

Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology (BACD)

By purchasing Shipping Insurance at checkout, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. Coverage Limit

Shipping Insurance provides coverage for up to 55% of the total merchandise value of the original order.

Coverage applies only to packages marked as Delivered by the shipping carrier but not received by the customer.

Shipping Insurance does not guarantee full reimbursement or free replacement.

2. Eligibility for Claims

A claim may be submitted only if:

  • The shipping carrier’s tracking confirms the package as Delivered to the address provided at checkout; and

  • The package cannot be located after delivery confirmation.

BACD reserves the right to verify delivery details with the carrier, including but not limited to GPS delivery confirmation, delivery scan data, and carrier investigation results.

3. Waiting Period

Claims will be accepted no sooner than 7 business days after the carrier marks the package as Delivered.

This waiting period allows time for potential carrier scanning discrepancies, delivery delays, or mis-deliveries to be resolved.

4. Claim Review & Resolution

All claims are subject to review and approval at BACD’s sole discretion.

If a claim is approved:

  • BACD will cover up to 55% of the original merchandise value of the affected order.

  • If the customer elects to have the order replaced, the 55% coverage will be applied toward the replacement order.

  • The customer is responsible for payment of the remaining balance, including:

  • The uncovered 45% of merchandise value

  • Applicable taxes

  • Replacement orders will not be processed or shipped until the remaining balance is paid in full.

BACD does not issue store credit as part of Shipping Insurance claim resolutions.

5. Exclusions

Shipping Insurance does not cover:

  • Incorrect, incomplete, or outdated addresses entered at checkout

  • Packages delivered to multi-unit residences, apartment buildings, or shared spaces without secure retrieval

  • Carrier delays in transit

  • Refused shipments

  • Packages returned to sender due to customer error

  • Orders where Shipping Insurance was not purchased at checkout

6. Uninsured Orders

BACD is not liable for lost, stolen, or missing packages once the shipping carrier marks an order as Delivered if Shipping Insurance was not purchased at checkout.

Responsibility for the package transfers to the customer upon confirmed delivery to the address provided at checkout.

7. How to Submit a Shipping Insurance Claim

To submit a Shipping Insurance claim, customers must email shop@weloveskin.com with the following information:

  • Full name used on the order
  • Order date
  • The shipping address used at checkout

Claims submitted without the required information may experience delays in processing.

Claims submitted before the required 7 business day waiting period may not be reviewed until the waiting period has passed.

Once a claim is received, BACD will review the request and verify delivery details with the shipping carrier if necessary. Claim reviews may take up to 3 business days.

BACD will notify the customer by email once the claim review has been completed and provide next steps if the claim is approved.

8. Claim Limitations & Abuse Prevention

Shipping Insurance is intended to provide limited protection for qualifying delivery issues. BACD reserves the right to limit, deny, or refuse claims in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or excessive claim history.

BACD also reserves the right to refuse future Shipping Insurance coverage for customers who have submitted multiple claims.

9. Agreement to Terms

By purchasing Shipping Insurance at checkout, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the Shipping Insurance Terms & Conditions outlined by Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology (BACD).

Customers understand that Shipping Insurance provides partial coverage up to 55% of the merchandise value and does not guarantee full reimbursement or a free replacement order.

Customers further acknowledge that if a claim is approved and a replacement order is requested, they are responsible for paying the remaining balance of the order value before the replacement order is processed.

Failure to follow the claim submission process or meet eligibility requirements may result in denial of the claim.

10. Claim Submission Deadline

All Shipping Insurance claims must be submitted within 30 calendar days of the carrier’s delivery confirmation date.

Claims submitted after this period will not be eligible for review or reimbursement.
